EPFL provides you the option of using the solution for electronic signature of documents named “Let’s Sign”. Your continued use of this service constitutes an express agreement to the present terms and conditions.

This option does not replace a handwritten signature and shall not be used in specific cases in which the law requires a handwritten signature. In all other cases, the electronic signature permits the confirmation of an exchange of assent and the authentication of the signed document.

This option works as follows: EPFL submits the pre-discussed document, ready to sign. Let’s Sign then contacts the various signatories by email in order to submit the document and obtain their signatures. Once consent has been given, Let’s Sign affixes a single electronic signature using the “All-in Signing Service” from Swisscom. During this process, the document is handled only by Let’s Sign and is divulged only to the various signatories. A signature relationship is established by Let’s Sign, which stores the surnames, forenames and email addresses of the signatories, along with the date of their consent.

By signing the document, you accept the validity of the signature system and that you are legitimately bound by this signature.

All disputes relating to the signature of a document and the use of this service are governed exclusively by Swiss substantive law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lausanne.
